1	What is Rolta?
	Rolta is an Indian multinational organization that has executed projects in over 35 countries. 2	What is Rolta Academy?
	Rolta Academy is a state-of-the-art facility, which has been setup with investments of millions of dollars, in cutting edge technology and software tools with a large dedicated faculty to drive these programs. Such an academy is not available in the country. It is specifically set up for grooming and developing skill sets of new Roltaites. This academy is designed to provide a structured and specialised three months training as per requirements of the company using various leading software packages and Rolta domain expertise to enable the candidates jump start their career and be a professional with a distinct difference in skills. Rolta is a unique organization and no other company in the world provides similar combination of Geospatial, Engineering design and Specialised IT based services.
3	What is its aim?
	Rolta has very ambitious Plans to grow the different business lines and go up the value-chain during the coming years. For this we need thousands of trained engineering hands to work on state-of-the-art Automation Tools and take on global projects, at our delivery centers in Mumbai. Aim of "Rolta Academy" - is to meet the immediate captive requirements of our six lines of our business. All those who qualify the tests will be absorbed in our academy as full time employee from Day 1, in various grades as per relevant experience and background.

5	What is the probable start date for the Academy?
	The first batch started from 3rd September 2007 and the second batch is scheduled to start on 3rd December 2007.
6	How many business groups will be covered in Rolta Academy?
	Six Main business groups namely: GeoSpatial / GeoEngineeringTechnology Engineering Design Automation Advanced Security & Network Management Software Engineering & Development Ship Design Services ERP Consulting & Deployment Services
7	What is the capacity for each Program?
	There will be four batches every year of 3 months each. The exact capacity for each of the sessions will based on the requirement forecasted from each of the business lines. For those who do not get a seat in the desired discipline, can opt for the next opted discipline or next batch. For the 2nd Batch the break up of the available seats are as follows: GeoSpatial / GeoEngineeringTechnology: 183 seats Engineering Design Automation: 46 Seats Software Engineering & Development: 23 Seats
8	What will be the duration of the Training Program?
	It will be totally of 3 months.
9	Who can join these Programs - Eligibility Criteria?
	Openings are available from fresher to senior executive levels. Candidates must be Engineering Graduates / Masters in Computer Applications / Geology / Geography / Remote Sensing. Diploma Engineers with relevant experience will also be considered. Fresh Engineers will be taken at Executive Level-I, whereas candidates with higher educational background and up to 5 years experience will be placed at higher levels as per company policy. Non-IT professionals having domain expertise in relevant fields will also be considered. The programs have individual minimum educational requirements as below: GeoSpatial / GeoEngineeringTechnology: Post Graduate: MSC with Geology / Geography / Geophysics, Environmental Sc., Planning & Economic Growth, Agricultural Sc., Marine Sc, Physics, Electronics & Communication. 10	I have appeared for the final exam - however final results are expected around mid August'07 - Can I apply for the Academy?
	It is required that the full non-recourse security deposit is paid and the candidate has passed his final exam as per eligibility, to join the academy.
11	What are the Selection criteria?
	All candidates, will go through a series of objective tests covering aptitude and specific subjects. These tests will be followed by interviews at Rolta’s head office at Mumbai for final selection. Candidates to bear their own expenses to attend the interview at Mumbai.
12	What is the complete process of registration for the academy?
	On-line registration flow: Go to www.rolta.com/career Enter Details Enter Preference 1 & 2 Upload Resume Upload Scanned photo An email will be sent to candidate informing him to proceed for the entrance test, if shortlisted Candidate will make a payment online of Rs. 200/- + Rs. 24.72 Tax + Rs. 11.28 Credit card processing fees. Total of Rs. 236/- Candidate will book Date, time and Venue online as per seat availability Candidate will print Hall ticket Candidate will go to exam centre with Hall ticket and photo ID Candidate will challenge the relevant entrance test On successfully clearing the entrance test candidate will be invited for a personal interview. Candidate also has an option to pay by Demand Draft in favour of “ ATTEST Testing Services Limited” payable at Mumbai. Candidate will be required to take the demand draft to the testing centre’s, where the attendant will make a booking for the candidate and provide a hall ticket for the examination.

14	What is the test fee?
	The test fee per candidate is Rs.200/-, plus services charges of (12.36%) plus Credit card processing fees amounting to Rs.236/- Else the fees can be paid by demand draft too of Rs.224.72/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Twenty Four and paisa Seventy Two only).
15	What is the mode of payment of the test fees?
	There are two modes of payment of the test fees as below: The test fees to be paid by demand draft in favor of ““ ATTEST Testing Services Limited” payable at Mumbai an amount of Rs.224.72. Candidate can make payment of test fee online of Rs. 200/- + Rs. 24.72 Tax + Rs. 11.28 (Credit card processing fees). Total of Rs. 236/-
16	When will the process of recruitment start?
	The process of recruitment will start immediately on receipt of application.
17	What is the Selection Process for Academy?
	Candidates should visit www.rolta.com/career and apply on line with their scanned photographs duly attached giving their preferences of business groups they wish to join. Based on initial screening of qualification with eligibility criteria required for the above business groups, candidates would be required to appear for an aptitude and technical test at any of the 43 test centers across the country as per their convenience. The short-listed candidates will then be called for a final interview at Rolta’s global headquarters in Mumbai. Selected candidates will be given an offer letter, which will be valid for a period of 15 days within which they can organise security deposit from the bank with the help of the company. These openings will be filled up on first-come-first-served basis and the initial posting will be in Mumbai. In due course the selected Roltaites can be posted in various parts of the world, based on corporate requirements and competence of the employee
18	What is the Faculty for Rolta Academy?
	A Judicious combination of Academicians and experienced personnel from the Industry would comprise the faculty. Rolta academy has 33 full time internal faculty as well as 35 eminent visiting faculty, comprising of domain experts and engineering professional with many years of industry experience in their respective fields. Each faculty member at Rolta academy brings a wealth of industry experience and domain knowledge. It comes from them spending several years in the areas of project execution, technical support, training and hand holding of customers across a number of industries. More importantly, they play multiple roles of not just trainers but also that of a mentor to help the candidate to the journey. The faculty members genuinely care about each Roltaites progress and help ignite their confidence while honing their technical skills through interactive sessions on real world scenarios, competencies, international best practices and soft skills using live project training sessions and industry case studies
