What will be the enrollment fees? Could you please explain the "Cash Less" Financial model in more detail?

 
Rolta academy is not a profit centre, but is an investment in line with our corporate philosophy to enhance employee profile and skills.

In order to retain employees and to make it a win-win proposition for both the organization and the employee, we have deviced a unique cashless program wherein non-recourse security deposit of Rs.2.50 lacs, covering the part of the training cost, will be taken from the employee for imparting this high end full time training program.

To facilitate funding of this amount, Rolta has entered into a strategic arrangement with Union Bank of India having a branch at Rolta Technology Park, to make the deposit available as an educational loan to the employee.

In addition to salary, Rolta will pay interest on the security deposit directly to the bank from day one. Further Rolta will refund the principal amount in equal installments directly to the bank on successful completion of third and fourth year of employmen.

Is any educational loan facility available?

 

Educational loan facility will be available from our in-campus nationalized Union Bank of India (UBI) at very attractive interest rates.

What is the interest rate Union Bank of India giving for this loan?

 

We negotiated with UBI for a special rate of (BPLR-1)% which currently is 12.25%.

For attending the final interview at Mumbai, what facilities Rolta will provide?

 

The short listed candidates will be intimated to attend the final personal interview at Rolta HQ at Mumbai/Branch Offices. The candidates will be required to attend the same at their own expenses

What is the process of reserving the seat after final interview?

 

Immediately after the personal interview the candidates will be informed about their selection. Then Rolta will assist these candidates, to complete the bank formalities for getting education loan from UBI. It is estimated that the bank will take approximately 5 working days to complete the formalities of sanctioning the loan. Once the non-recourse security deposit of rupees two lacs fifty thousand is deposited with Rolta, the seat is deemed reserved.

Where will be the initial posting after completion of the program?

 

After completion of the program, initial posting will be at Rolta operation centres at Mumbai.

Will Rolta pay interest to the candidates who do not take bank loan, but pay from his own resources?

 

No. Rolta will not pay any interest amount to the candidate who makes direct payment from his own resources.

Will Rolta pay interest to the candidates who organize the non-recourse security deposit, from other banks?

 

Yes. Rolta will pay the interest amount equal to UBI’s interest rate for the same loan. Additional amount if any has to be borne by the candidate.

What is the procedure of leave sanction during the program?

 

As a policy the candidates are not permitted to take leave during the first six months of employment.

In very rare case of unforeseen emergencies, following scenarios might be considered for granting leave:

a. Fallen sick requiring bed rest
b. Death in family

It will be discretion of the management to consider this absence as follows:

i. Looking at the severity of the emergency – the Leave-without-pay (LOP) – may be granted

ii. Missed out portions may be allowed to be covered / made up by the candidate during the hands-on-time

iii. If the duration of the leave is very long – than may be permitted to continue the program in the following batch – depending upon availability of seats

In case of death of the candidate what happens to the loan amount?

 

The bank desires that the candidate insure his/her life under the Tie Up Agreement. However the Insurance policy would not be mandatory for obtaining education loan.

Are all the selected candidates eligible to get the job in Rolta?

 

All selected candidates through the above process of recruitment are employee of Rolta from Day 1. In the very rare case of a candidate not performing either during the training or later may be required to quit.

Can the Roltaite switch the program, in case he finds that he is not able to understand?

 

At the time of sitting for the entrance test you are selecting the 2 programs of your choice in order of preference. Based on the test results and your performance during the personal interview, you will be selected for a program keeping in mind your overall rating and the requirements of our business groups.

Once the course starts, Roltaite cannot change the program.

Is there any service agreement after completion of the course?

 

There is no service agreement. We are confident that the environment provided by us, will allow the executives to excel in their chosen field and grow in our organization.

However if the candidate is further sent for additional training in India or abroad, or are deputed to our international customers on projects etc., then the standard company norms will be followed for service agreements.

Is there any future prospect other than Rolta?

 

The industry needs trained hands in every discipline be it in IT or ITES and engineering / GIS / AM / FM services. We are confident, opportunities within Rolta, will keep our executives busy, and give them tremendous growth opportunity.

Salary and post that will be offered after completion of course?

 

The Salary and Designation offered after completion of Program will be commensurate with the candidates’ relevant qualification, experience and performance assessment during the Program.

Other candidates with experience will be absorbed at Rolta at higher grade and salary commensurate with educational background and relevant experience. They will also get an increment as a reward, after successfully completing the Program.

Do the candidates expected to have any background knowledge of software(s)?

 

Candidates with flair for Engineering and acceptance of computers as a ‘tool’ for design work will benefit the most. Working knowledge of Computers is preferable.

Any accommodation, traveling, and canteen facility will be provided?

 

Rolta has contract busses plying to Andheri and Kanjurmarg stations for their staff. There is well-equipped full-fledged canteen facility available for its entire staff including the participants at Rolta Academy. However, Rolta has no accommodation facilities.
