Rolta uses world-class aerial photography and airborne LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) to capture high-quality images of the surface of the earth.
A successful aerial photo mission involves meticulous planning of the flight path. We prepare the optimal flight path to cover the area of interest, ensuring that the specified overlap and side lap between successive aerial photographs is achieved.
We carry out a field survey of the area covered, and place signals on ground control points prior to aerial photography.
Rolta offers world-class aerial cameras from Intergraph for aerial photography. This is backed by our in-house expertise to deliver high-quality earth images.
The accuracy of earth images are enhanced if the geographic coordinates of the image center are known and captured during the aerial mission. We carry out earth imaging and acquire accurate geographic coordinates of the image using precision airborne sensors such as IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and AGPS (Airborne Global Positioning System).
We also provide the facility for scanning aerial photographs. We have an in-house scanning facility (a class 100 totally dust-free environment) and use world-class Z/I imaging photoscanners.
LIDAR data is used for flood mapping, forest management, road construction, city modeling, laying high-tension cables etc. We provide LIDAR-based solutions for 3D representation of the earth surface and the manmade and natural objects on it.
