Population growth, rapid urbanization and industrialization are putting increasing pressure on the environment. Many factors affect the environment, and there are many methodologies to manage it. Rolta's GeoSpatial Services helps organizations collate and analyze data from various sources. The data is presented in an easy-to-assimilate manner to help organizations take quick decisions and create effective environmental management strategies.

Rolta has implemented and executed diverse environmental GIS projects, funded by the World Bank. The experience and knowledge gained from these projects have put us in an ideal position to provide a wide range of professional services.

What's needed

Collecting, storing, integrating and retrieving information from diverse sources is complex, tedious and slow. And maintaining historical and current records is expensive and complicated. Hence, a GeoSpatial-based Comprehensive Management Information System is critical, so that vast amounts of diverse records pertaining to the environment can be organized and interpreted. The basic needs of the environment industry are:
