SWRL provides high-end engineering services worldwide and undertakes refinery, petrochemicals and power projects in India. SWRL has access to Stone & Webster's proprietary technology for the development, consulting, engineering and construction of nuclear, fossil fuel and geothermal power generation plants and process plants for polymers, olefins and refining.
The Basic Engineering services offered by Stone & Webster include development of process flow diagrams, mass & energy balances, control & operational philosophy, basic equipment sizing, equipment specifications and conceptual equipment layout. SWRL employs some of the best engineering / design processes, cutting-edge software tools and special applications developed in-house for performing intricate engineering calculations and engineering designs.

SWRL has access to leading patented technology in the refining and petrochemical business sectors. In refining, these include fluidized catalytic cracking, deep catalytic cracking, hydrotreating, process and energy integration schemes etc. In commodity chemicals, these include ethyl benzene, cumene, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride etc. SWRL also offers plant revamp and modernization services.
SWRL offers best-of-class detailed engineering services to ensure optimum construction, operation, safety, maintenance and cost of the plant. This is achieved through extensive use of integrated engineering workflows, use of multi-platform engineering applications for design and analysis of process, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil and structural.
These high-end services are also supported through extensive use of state-of-the-art CAE tools for 3-D modeling, plant walk-through, simulation, individual as well as composite analysis. These engineering practices, during the engineering / design stage, help resolve most of the challenges related to construction, maintenance and safe operation of the plant.
- Project management services: SWRL has a highly capable project management team with extensive industry and implementation experience. The team is equipped with the latest tools and information systems for project management, scheduling, monitoring, cost control etc. The execution team is fully geared to co-coordinate the activities of engineering, design, procurement, expediting, stores management and construction management.
- Procurement services: SWRL provides procurement support services, starting from vendor identification, vendor development, evaluation of offers, bid analysis, assistance in order placement and in all other post-order activities like vendor coordination and expediting, materials planning etc.
- Construction management services: The construction management team consists of engineers specialized in construction activities, in-depth site planning and execution, commissioning activities and start-up support. We follow best practices at construction sites to reduce overall schedule, ensuring safe and efficient construction completion and commissioning of the plant.

Stone & Webster has already provided basic engineering services for a number of ethylene plants in India.

Since the beginning, SWRL has been providing EPCM services to large organizations. In a short span of about two years, SWRL has provided these high-value services to Essar Oil, IPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, Reliance Industries, and others in India.
Internationally, SWRL has participated in a large number of projects executed for Stone & Webster's Process and Power divisions for major owner-operators across the world, including Current Creek Power, BCC Chemicals, Hassi Massoud Refinery, IAG Big West Refinery, LG Petrochemical Co, Marathon, Nippon Petroleum Refinery, Petrokemya Olefins, Pine Bluff Arsenal, Valero Refinery and Yansab, amongst others.

The company's services cover the entire spectrum of EPCM activities, including basic engineering, equipment sizing and specs definition, engineering analysis and optimization, HAZOP and safety studies, detailed engineering, fabrication and construction documentation, procurement and construction management, and commissioning.
