Rolta India Appoints New Independent Directors

Mumbai, August 08, 2006 :Rolta India Limited, one of India's leading IT companies, specializing in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Engineering Design Automation (EDA) and eSolutions (eS) today announced the appointment Ms. Preetha Pulusani and Mr. J.K. Patnaik as independent Directors on the Board of the company.

Earlier the Board took on record the retirement of Mr. S.L. Baluja and Mr. Yuvraj Karan from the directorship of the company with effect from the close of the company's business day August 08, 2006. Mr. K.K. Singh, Chairman and Managing Director placed on record the appreciation for their valuable contribution to the company.

Ms. Preetha Pulusani and Mr. J.K. Patnaik appointed in place of Mr. S.L. Baluja and Mr. Yuvraj Karan will serve as Additional Directors of the Board till the next Annual General Meeting, when their appointment as non-executive directors of the Board will be placed for the approval of the members in general meeting.

Ms. Preetha Pulusani is M.S. in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, and B.A. in Accounting and Computer Science. She is CEO and President of InterThink Solutions, Inc. Alabama. Ms. Pulusani has an illustrious career of over 25 years with Intergraph Corporation serving at various senior management levels before she opted to retire in Feb 2006 as President of SG&I division of Intergraph Corporation, and was responsible for the global strategic direction and world-wide operations for the business with annual revenues over $400 M, serving numerous markets, public safety, governments, military and intelligence, utilities and communications and transportation and commercial photogrammetry.

Mr. Patnaik is M.A. in Political Science and an IRS officer (1970 batch ) has held various positions in Income Tax Department before retiring as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Mr. Patnaik has vast experience in Financial Matters, Corporate Tax, Management and Administration.
