Remote Sensing: Acquiring Earth Observations
Rolta offers Remote Sensing Technologies for the Accurate Detection and Classification of Objects on our Planet
Remote Sensing is the acquisition of information to detect and classify objects on Earth (both on the surface, as well as in the atmosphere and oceans), without making physical contact with the object. Air-borne cameras and satellite-borne sensors are used to acquire accurate Earth observations.
Reflected sunlight is the common source of radiation measured by passive sensors, and RADAR and LiDAR are examples of active sensors where the time delay between emission and return is measured, establishing the location, height, speeds and direction of an object.
