• Skills : As Solution Architect this role is responsible for understanding prospect needs expressed in Pre-Sales / RFP phase.Designing and proposing detailed optimal solutions meeting requirements with ability to support strategic prospect objectives.This involves performing system, software, hardware and network modelling, analysis and planning to implement a solution that will meet business needs within financial budget guidelines.As technical expert, provide guidance & make decisions to ensure most optimal solution.Collaborate,share and communicate ideas verbally, and in writing,to various stakeholders, business sponsors, and technical teams in clear concise language.RFP response building addressing Project Scope, articulating Business Value Propositions,complete Technical Solution Architecture and write-ups,proposing appropriate Project Methodologies & Governance Models,recommending optimal detailed Bill of Materials (BoM),Effort Estimations, Compliance Statements, Assumptions & Risk Management.The role would act as visionary and strategist for solution, surveying market landscape for competitive insights, direction, vendors, and methods. Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into client-oriented proposal documentation.The expectation is that of a seasoned senior technocrat who has led multiple projects through complete project lifecycles, and has performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle including – prior experience as Developer / Team Lead / Architect / Project Lead / Project Manager. In depth Exposure to Project lifecycle(s), agile methodologies, popular CASE tools & techniques is expected.Prior experience of scientific Project Estimation techniques is essential.Profile also calls for (on required basis) interactions with senior business and technology leaders,decision makers, etc. understanding their requirements, making suitable presentations / demonstrations, etc. to position winning solutions.Prior substantial experience in pre-sales / delivery / technical architecture, is expected.Domain / functional knowledge having extensive exposure to relevant Enterprise / Specialized Software solutions, being used in domains Government, Energy, Chemicals & Utilities (ECU) Process Industries/ Manufacturing Banking Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)Typical IT areas in which turnkey opportunities would have to be addressed by this role, include complex combinations of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) Enterprise Applications Integration (EAI) Advanced IT Infrastructure, Network & Security Management Besides core Rolta- IP, many of the proposals would involve technology stacks from global leaders and partners like Oracle, Microsoft, Computer Associates, SAP, IBM, ESRI, etc. and other popular open technologies.The role is based out of Mumbai (India) Majority of proposals handled would be from Indian prospects Significant global proposals (Middle East, Europe and North America) would also need to be managed The role may have to support / manage proposals in other geographies on an as-required basis.
