• Qualification : BS or MS in Geo-informatics or M.Tech/ M.Sc in Geo-informatics or PG. Dip in Geo-informatics.
• Experience : 5 – 6 years of experience GIS industry.
• Skills : Sound Knowledge of basic GIS concepts like GIS Data formats, Projections, Editing of GIS Data, Geo-referencing, Markup Languages viz., GML, XML, KML etc. Working knowledge of GIS Web based applications viz., ERDAS Apollo and ArcGIS Server, GeoMedia WebMap & SDI Pro Must have worked on industry standard products like ESRI or Intergraph Geomedia or Mapinfo, Geomatica, etc. Must possess basic knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQL, etc. Shall have a logical understanding of GIS Web based application implementation. Shall possess very good documentation skills and should be aware of in-bound and out-bound activities associated with product management Shall possess ability to express and organize thoughts, ideas and information in a logical and concise manner both verbally and in writing. Shall have good knowledge in software design, development, integration and testing methodologies specific to GIS. Shall possess good communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Should have good articulation skills to demonstrate the products being built by Rolta, to understand and translate user requirements to development specifications and should be aware of the IEEE software standards. 1-2 years of development or implementation of Web based GIS application. 1-2 years of experience of using cadding softwares like AutoCAD, Microstation. Knowledge of DVD standards used in OSM map production Survey of India.
